Last Day of School 2014-2015
2015 Walk to Cure Arthritis – Topeka
It was a successful day and completed the walk before the downpour began. However it did not stop the girls from running out and dancing in the rain… Silly girls!!
We Thank everyone that participated in the walk and donated, your donations will help us find a cure for this painful disease.
There are over 300,000 children in the United States alone fighting this horrible disease and more being diagnosed every day.
Donations are always welcome!! Team Hannah Coen
Hannah walked I believe almost 2 miles, she did great once again. Very proud of her for being the 2015 Honoree for Topeka’s Walk to Cure Arthritis.
Positive Changes Coming
Today was Hannah’s quarterly visit to Children’s Mercy and it was a great visit. She is doing great and has been flare up free for one year. With this good news we will begin the next phase we tested for over Spring Break.
Beginning tomorrow she will have her normal morning shot and than we will not have another shot until Saturday. We are hoping for good results, with no rash, no fever, no sore or swelling of joints.
All we can do is Trust in God’s plan for Hannah and pray for little or no discomfort during this change.
New Phase
On Friday, March 13th we began a new phase with Hannah’s medicine. So far it has gone very well three days in. We are doing a test run while on spring break to see if Hannah is ready to take the next step, which is tapering her off the Kineret. Once spring break is over we will return to normal shots first thing in the morning before school. During sprink break we are seeing how long she holds out before needing her shot not going past 2:00 pm in the afternoon. She is having a very successful trial and has made it to 2:00 everyday with no problems.
We return to Children’s Mercy in April and if the doctor likes the spring break test run and all her blood work comes back good. We will begin another new phase. The new phase will be every other day with the shots.
